Affectionately known as Spoodles, Mr. Lascelle Tillett has been promoting tourism and ecotourism in and around Belize for more than 40 years. His vast knowledge of Belize’s many eco-tourism destinations and attractions has earned him great respect from many local and international businesses, clients, friends and family alike.
Lascelle started his business as a taxi driver. Eventually, Lascelle, his wife Sarita, and family members started S&L Travel and Tours Company, which is now a well-known, Belizean, family-owned and operated tour company. Lascelle realized that Belize could be promoted through custom-designed special interest and adventure vacations for both Belizean and international tourists. S & L Travel continues to provide personalized tours for all their clients.
Since his youth and even to date, Mr. Tillett has visited places in Belize many of us have not yet heard of or ventured to visit! Ask him anything about Belize and you will surely get an answer.

Lascelle has many highlights in his life but you’d never hear it from him. Many years ago he was featured on the “The Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” as the guide for a newly wed couple who were the owners of the bottled water company Perrier. He is also featured in several other famous tour guidebooks including a guide book by Arthur Frommer and Handbook of Belize by Chichi Mallan.
Lascelle is an active member of the Board of Directors of the Belize Audubon Society and participates in the Society’s annual bird count. He has a keen interest in protecting and preserving the environment. He has also traveled to many countries in Europe, Asia, North and Central America promoting S & L Travel as well as Belize’s Eco-tourism destinations and what Belize has to offer.
